The short answer: where to park an RV or boat in West Monroe

An outdoor 12x40 RV, boat or trailer parking space at Cypress Mini Storage, 4601 Cypress St in West Monroe, LA, currently rents for $55 per month, shown live on the booking card below. The space is uncovered and sits on a maintained grass and gravel strip, one vehicle per marked space, and you keep your own insurance on the rig. Access is 24 hours a day through the same keypad gate the storage units use, at the I-20 and Cypress Street exit on the west side of West Monroe, 10 minutes from Monroe and the ULM campus. There is no deposit, a $20 one-time admin fee at move in, and leases run month to month with 3 days written notice to end. Coverage on the vehicle is required and comes from your own comprehensive and liability policy, which you confirm at checkout; the facility does not insure the vehicle.

What fits in a 12x40 space

A 40 foot long space takes most Class A and Class C motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth wheels up to about 35 feet including the tongue, bass boats and pontoons on their trailers, car haulers and enclosed utility trailers. Spaces are marked on the ground with numbered posts, so you always come back to the same spot. Rigs longer than 38 feet should call first so we can check the row before you book.

House rules for the row: one vehicle per space, parked inside the lines with a current plate and registration; no living or sleeping in the vehicle, no hookups, no repairs, washing, fueling or tank dumping on site; walking speed on the property and follow the posted direction of travel. Nothing on wheels goes inside a storage unit; the outdoor row is the place for it.

How to rent a parking space online

Pick the RV, Boat and Trailer Parking card above, enter your details and the vehicle you will park (year, make, model, plate and VIN or hull number), sign the rental agreement and the vehicle parking addendum, and pay the first month. Your personal gate code is activated once the rental requirements are complete, usually the same day, and you drive in, park in your numbered space and go. The size guide covers the enclosed units if you also need a place for the gear that comes out of the rig, and the 24 hour access page explains how the gate works at night.

RV and boat parking questions

How much does RV or boat parking cost at Cypress Mini Storage?

An outdoor 12x40 RV, boat or trailer parking space at Cypress Mini Storage, 4601 Cypress St in West Monroe, LA, currently rents for $55 per month, shown live on the booking card below. Every space is the same 12x40 size and the same price, there is no deposit, and the only other charge is the $20 one-time admin fee at move in. The rate you see on the booking card is the real monthly rate, not a teaser, and you can cancel month to month with 3 days written notice.

What size are the parking spaces and what fits?

Each space is 12 feet wide by 40 feet long, which fits a Class A or Class C motorhome up to about 38 feet, a travel trailer or fifth wheel up to about 35 feet including the tongue, a boat on its trailer, or a utility or car hauler trailer. One vehicle per space, parked inside the painted lines. If your rig is longer than 38 feet, call us before you book so we can check the row.

Is the parking covered or paved?

No. The spaces are outdoor, uncovered and sit on a maintained grass and gravel strip along the west side of the property, inside the fence and the gate. We recommend an RV cover, wheel chocks and leveling blocks, the same as any open-air storage lot. The row is lit and covered by the facility cameras.

Can I get to my RV or boat at night or on weekends?

Yes. Parking tenants use the same gate as unit tenants, with a personal keypad code that works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Drive at walking speed on the property and follow the posted direction of travel in the parking row.

What do I need to rent a parking space?

A current registration and license plate for the vehicle or trailer, and the online rental completed before you bring it in. Coverage on the vehicle is required and comes from your own insurance, which you confirm at checkout; the facility does not insure it. You will sign a short vehicle parking addendum with the standard rental agreement that records the year, make, model, plate and VIN or hull number. No one may live or sleep in the vehicle, and no repairs, washing, fueling or tank dumping are allowed on site.

Can I store a car or boat inside a storage unit instead?

No. Our drive-up units are for household and business goods only and nothing on wheels goes inside one. The outdoor 12x40 parking row is how Cypress handles RVs, boats and trailers, and it is rented online on this page the same way as a unit.

What happens if I stop paying?

The same Louisiana self storage rules that apply to a unit apply to the space. If rent stays unpaid for 60 days the vehicle can be towed by a licensed tower at the owner’s expense under Louisiana law (La. R.S. 9:4759), which is spelled out in the addendum you sign. Keep autopay on and that never comes up.
